Jablunkov has always been, and still is, very much of a working town. Although more people are beginning to visit the area, you won't find shops selling tourist tat. It is still unspoilt and very real. The town has plenty of bars serving the finest Czech beers and a good selection of restaurants. From traditional Czech goulash and dumplings to pizza, you will always find something tasty if you are out for the evening.
Being situated in the Olse valley means that the start of most rides entails a good climb. On the plus side, however, this guarantees that rides are finished downhill! The surrounding Beskydy Mountains are dotted with trails which are virtually empty during the week and on most of the peaks you will find a mountain 'cottage' (chata in Czech). So, attractive places to stop for lunch or a beer are plentiful and many have spectacular views to enjoy whilst you relax.
