We are also in the middle of completely renovating a large house which formerly provided flats for workers in the local woodmill. This will soon be your holiday accommodation, (see House Renovation page). Think of it as being a biking-specific penzion. All bedrooms will be ensuite and table tennis and table football will be waiting for you apres-ride, together with a cold beer or glass of wine and some of Martina's delicious food! We want your holiday to be as comfortable as it is exciting. BBQs in the garden, where you will get to sample traditional food, surrounded by stunning views of where you have been riding. The house is, we think, a bit special and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Flowing singletrack descents and a relaxed environment
Proper seasons and very little wind!
Second question is usually, "But isn't it freezing cold and snowy?" This is a common misconception as people often associate Czech with Russia. In fact Czech benefits from having proper seasons (and very little wind), so in the riding season you can expect temperatures up to 35 degrees. In winter you can come back to RideCzech to have a go at XC skiing, snow shoeing, snowboarding and skiing. The biking season is from April until the end of September and as many of the trails are within forest areas, it is never too hot!
Firstly, many people ask, "Why the Czech Republic?" Well, we left the comfort and routine of the U.K. and a flourishing business to look for something different, more real, with less of the bells and whistles and more of the old-fashioned values. We were looking for flowing single track descents, good weather, a relaxed environment and unspoilt surroundings. We also wanted to be the first biking company, located IN Czech, catering for British riders. We've got it! This part of Czech ticks all the boxes.
